Debra Brown: Good Business Colorado
Debra Brown is the Executive Director and a Founder Member of Good Business Colorado – a grassroots organization of values-driven
business owners working to build a prosperous economy, equitable communities, and a sustainable environment. Prior to helping launch Good Business Colorado, Debra was the Business Organizer for
the Amendment 70 campaign which succeeded in raising the minimum wage to $12 by 2020.
Debra is a social entrepreneur who Co-Founded MobilizeUs, a technology and communications company that has provided organizations with affordable and effective group text messaging services and
custom SMS text messaging application development since 2005.
Before founding MobilizeUs, Debra gained significant experience starting and growing nonprofit organizations. She held various positions in the civic sector including serving as the US Outreach
Director for DocFactory and the Director of the Colorado Community Organizers Collaborative Grassroots Fundraising Project, and served on numerous local nonprofit boards. Before moving back to her
home state of Colorado, Debra was the Community Relations Liaison for the Southern Arizona Children's Advocacy Center.
Debra graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in political science, and earned a Masters equivalent in business administration from the school of hard
knocks.
