"Coach Stacy" Fowler, M.S., C.P.T.

“Coach Stacy” Fowler has a unique background as a business owner, community organizer, professional emcee and nonprofit leader, along with an extensive background in media, marketing, event organizing and communications. Health and fitness have been life-long passions for Coach Stacy. She has been in the forefront of the Colorado and national fitness industry for over 20 years. She served four Governors as the President of the Colorado Governor’s Council for Physical Fitness and is currently the Colorado State Coordinator for the Presidents’ Challenge and Vice President of the National Association for Health and Fitness.

With a BS in Physical Education and Health and a Masters in Sports Science and Management, she’s also a Certified Personal Trainer and owns a fitness studio in Golden where she conducts private and group training classes. She hosts fitness segments on both TV and radio, and has been featured on Good Morning America and KUSA Channel 9’s Colorado & Company, as well as such publications as Shape Magazine, Prevention, and Ladies’ Home Journal. Through the nonprofit organization she founded, We Play It Forward, Stacy and her team “play fitness forward” to community members and organizations in need.

Twenty years ago Stacy and her husband Joe and decided to relocate from California to Colorado. One day they happened to wander into Golden and while driving down Washington Street, they saw the sign that convinced them that they’d found their new home: “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden.” This was the perfect city in which to raise a family and lay down roots – a city that was quaint, not too big, but not backward either; a city that was dedicated to a high quality of living for its community members, forward thinking, but rooted in history and tradition; a city that they could embrace and call “home.”

Stacy and Joe raised their family here and recently started their new business The Golden Hayride. They are actively involved in our Golden community events and Golden Chamber.
