The Outstanding Young Woman in the STEM Award for Middle School (grades 6 through 8th grade) seeks to encourage female-identifying students to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.  Students may be from any public or private school in Colorado.

Note that you are required to upload a “headshot” photo of the student at the end of the application in JPEG format so that the student can be recognized on the Colorado Women’s Day FACEBOOK page, on other social media and in news releases. 

If you encounter problems with the upload, please call 303-277-9520.  If your applicant’s photo is received after this date we cannot guarantee that your nominee will be included in our public relations efforts. 

All awards will be announced and presented at the 9th Annual Colorado Women's Day event on Friday, March 8, 2024. Students must be present to win. If the judges' top choice cannot attend the event, the judges' 2nd choice will be presented with the award.
