In 2023, Sophia Safieddine won the Outstanding Young Woman in the Arts Award.

The Outstanding Young Woman in the Arts Award was created to provide incentive and inspiration to young women who are active in the arts community, either as an artist or activist for the performing or visual arts. Judging will be based upon proven artistic talent AND / OR participation in extracurricular activities that serve to promote the arts community.

Nominations for this award can be accepted from school or private art teachers, parents of the nominee, or the nominee herself.  

Nominees can be any female or female-identifying person aged 21 or under, and can come from any public or private school within the state of Colorado. The nominee does not have to be currently enrolled in school, and may be working as a professional in the arts.

Because the luncheon is a charity fundraiser, all finalists must purchase an event ticket to attend. In order to win a finalist must attend the event.  If the winning finalist cannot attend the event, her award will presented to the judges' second choice.

Up to 5 images can be uploaded with the application and there is a space to provide a link to YouTube for performing artists.
