Students must be present to win. If the judges' top choice cannot attend the event, the judges' 2nd choice will be presented with the award.

The Outstanding Young Woman in the STEM Award for College or University students is intended to encourage female-identifying nominees to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.  Students may be from any public or private school in Colorado.

Please complete the Google form located HERE by February 2, 2024.

Note that you are required to upload a “headshot” photo of the student at the end of the application in JPEG format so that the student can be recognized on the Colorado Women’s Day FACEBOOK page, on other social media and in news releases. 

If you encounter problems with the upload, please call 303-277-9520.  If your applicant’s photo is received after this date we cannot guarantee that your nominee will be included in our public relations efforts. 

By uploading your application and photo of the student you are nominating, you are providing the IX Power Foundation and Colorado Women’s Day with permission to post and distribute this information without financial compensation.  

All awards will be announced and presented at the 9th Annual Colorado Women's Day event on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Several nominees' STEM projects, as appropriate, and as space allows, may be displayed at the March 8 event.
